Time: 10am-12pm Location: Foreshore Park Railway Sheds Join us for an extraordinary community celebration as Newcastle attempts to bring together the largest gathering of people practicing chair yoga. This inclusive, intergenerational event forms part of the 2026 Seniors Festival and is proudly supported by City of Newcastle and SALA Newcastle. About the Event Led by Mel Keerie—founder of Newcastle’s First Sound Lounge & Therapy Studio and a qualified yoga instructor—the 30 minute session invites participants of all ages and abilities to enjoy a gentle, accessible, and uplifting chair‑supported yoga class. No prior experience is required, and everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace. Chair Yoga incorporates soft stretching, mobility exercises, breathwork, and relaxation designed to support flexibility, circulation, balance, posture, and overall wellbeing in a safe, welcoming environment.
